Links Hope Island

After fifteen years as a renowned resort course, the next chapter of Hope Island Golf has arrived. Managed by Troon Golf, Links Hope Island is now becoming a private facility with Equity Members. The club is currently in the exciting and early stages of this transitional period. Limited public access is still available, and to gain access to Links Hope Island Golf Course visitors should contact the club well in advance to secure a booking.

Since opening its doors in 1993 the club has been consistently ranked in Australia's top ten resort courses. Host to the 1997 Johnnie Walker Classic and The Qantas Legends Golf Classic each year, the course is both nationally and internationally renowned.

Set in a 360 ha residential resort community, the par 72 course measure approximately 6,500 metres off the championship tees. Designed by five times British Open winner Peter Thomson and design partner Mike Wolveridge, the course was initially carved out of a dairy farm, with the layout following the natural contours of the land.

Careful strategic thinking must be employed around the natural and man made hazards and 128 challenging pot style bunkers. Facilities include;

  • Aquatic driving range and chipping/putting greens
  • Concierge bag drop
  • GPS carts
  • Golf Academy

We have been advised that the standard train (Interurban Multiple Units) on the Gold Coast line should have toilet facilities due to the distance between the Gold Coast and Brisbane. We are seeking your input regarding this issue and ask that if you catch a Gold Coast train at any time (peak or off peak) that you advise us whether or not there are toilet facilities. We particularly want you to advise us of the time of the train service and in particular if there was or there was not a toilet on the train.
