Albert River Wines
The Hinterland surrounding Queensland's famous Gold Coast is one of Australia's fastest growing wine regions and is becoming well-known for its vineyards and boutique wineries.
Centrally-located half-way between and less than an hour from both Brisbane and the Gold Coast, Albert River Wines is located at the historic property of Tamborine House.
Established in 1868, Tamborine House lent its name to neighbouring Tamborine Mountain in 1892 and has long been a famous local landmark.
Connected to the winery by massive solid Oregon doors, the Cellar Door Sales & Tasting Room is located in the former Auchenflower House, a famous Brisbane landmark that was home to three former Queensland Premiers.
Relocated to Tamborine House in 1998, this grand old lady is now the heart of Albert River Wines, and has been elegantly restored to capture the former grandeur of the colonial period.
As well as sampling the full range of Albert River Wines and browsing for unique gifts in our Showroom, visitors can view a fascinating collection of photographs and articles detailing the rich and sometimes colourful histories of both Tamborine House and Auchenflower House.
We have been advised that the standard train (Interurban Multiple Units) on the Gold Coast line should have toilet facilities due to the distance between the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
We are seeking your input regarding this issue and ask that if you catch a Gold Coast train at any time (peak or off peak) that you advise us whether or not there are toilet facilities.
We particularly want you to advise us of the time of the train service and in particular if there was or there was not a toilet on the train.
